Join SoCal Adaptive Sports, Friends of the Desert Mountains, and Desert Recreation District volunteer docents for a hike for persons with disabilities, their family and friends in Carrizo Canyon.
This canyon offers a challenge with its soft sandy soil, and small to large rocks to step over, step on and go around. Carrizo Canyon is a geologic wonder and is in the Peninsular Bighorn Sheep Preserve.
Hike rating is easy to moderate, approximately 2.5 miles round trip. Elevation gain is about 300 feet. Bring snacks and 2 liters of water per person. Wear close-toed shoes, sun hat and sunscreen.
