Join SoCal Adaptive Sports, Friends of the Desert Mountains, and Desert Recreation District volunteer docents for a hike for persons with disabilities, their family and friends on the Long Canyon Trail. This is the newest trail to open in the Coachella Valley.

This trail is part of Joshua National Park. We will explore the area and learn about the Metropolitan Water district and how Los Angeles gets their water. We will then enter wilderness area where the desert plants show how they have adapted to the higher elevation. Trail is mostly level and very gradual elevation. We will hike about 3 miles total round trip.

Bring snacks and 2 liters of water per person. Wear close-toed shoes, sun hat and sunscreen.
