The 4 mile drive along Morris Ranch Road off Highway 74 offers some wonderful views of Garner Valley before finding parking along the side of the road with a short walk to the trailhead.
The easy trail, beginning at 5,760 ft elevation, leads up through some meadows, before coming to a forested area filled with mature oaks. We will only walk about 2 miles to the beginning of the switchbacks, before heading back - a total of 4 miles.
RSVP is required and you must bring your ticket with you for check-in at 8:15 AM. Ticket reservations begin 14 days prior to the event. A suggested tax-deductible donation of $5.00 per person is appreciated and encouraged to support our volunteer programs. For more information contact the Visitor Center at 760-862-9984.
