Earl Henderson Trail Adaptive Sports Hike

  • Earl Henderson Trail Bogert Trail & Barona Rd Palm Springs, CA United States (map)

HAPPY NEW YEAR! What a fun way to begin 2022. Join SoCal Adaptive Sports, Friends of the Desert Mountains, and Desert Recreation District volunteers on a hike for persons with disabilities on the Earl Henderson Trail. Many of you enjoyed hiking this easy trail last spring. This time, we plan to hike 3 miles round-trip and elevation of 250 feet. This trail meanders along the base of the mountain overlooking the Araby Wash. There are areas of local colorful Palms Springs history on this trail. Learn the importance of this critical habitat area for the endangered Casey's June Beetle. Return trip back will be in the Araby Wash.

Bring snacks, 2 liters of water per person and your hiking poles. Wear close-toed shoes, hat and sunscreen. Due to public health regulations, it is suggested that you wear a mask and practice social distancing.
