Fern Canyon Trail Interpretative Hike

Although this trail is remote, you will be rewarded on your trek with incredible panoramic views. This trail is considered a hidden jewel of the desert.

After climbing cactus-lined rocky ridges, you will come to an oasis with palms, ferns, and other water-loving plants. Elevation gain is approximately 700 feet and 4.5 miles roundtrip.

Sorry, no dogs are allowed on this trail. Bring 2 liters of water, a snack to enjoy at the oasis, wear closed-toed shoes, sun hat and sunscreen. There is an entry fee onto the Reservation for this hike.

RSVP is required and you must bring your ticket with you for check-in 15 minutes prior to start time. Space is limited. Ticket reservations begin 14 days prior to the event.

A suggested nonrefundable donation of $5.00 per person is appreciated and encouraged to support our volunteer programs. For more information contact the Visitor Center at 760-862-9984.

We will meet at the lower parking lot of the trading post. Allow extra time to purchase your entry at the Indian Canyons entrance gate.
