Hidden Palms Trail Interpretative Hike

During the springtime this wash area usually has abundant wildflowers. You leave the wash and climb the mud hill. At the top it opens to view of Salton Sea. The trail is flat until you reach the top of the ravine going into Hidden Palms. Along the way you will find many blooming shrubs. Enter the oasis enjoying the many California fan palms and wildlife habitat. You will exit Hidden oasis and follow the sandy wash to Horseshoe oasis. This oasis is long and narrow. The trail leads up a steep incline and loops back to the trail. DOGS ARE ALLOWED ON THIS TRAIL. The distance is 3 miles with an elevation gain of 400 feet. Bring 2 liters of water, snacks, wear closed-toed shoes, hat and sunscreen.

RSVP is required and you must bring your ticket with you for check-in at 8:15 AM. Ticket reservations begins 14 days prior to the event.
