Join SoCal Adaptive Sports, Desert Recreation District and Friends of the Desert Mountains volunteer docents on a hike for persons with disabilities on the Hidden Palms Oasis Trail. For those of you who missed the Covered Wagon tour in October, now is the time to see this oasis.
During the springtime, we usually see wildflowers in the wash. You will leave the wash and climb the mud hill. At the top of the hill, it opens to an expansive view of Salton Sea. The trail flattens out until you reach the top of the ravine going into Hidden Palms. Along the way you will find many blooming shrubs. Enter the oasis to enjoy the many California fan palms and wildlife habitat. This trail is dog friendly. This hike is easy to moderate about 4 miles with elevation gain of 400 feet.
Bring snacks, 2 liters of water per person and your hiking poles. Wear close-toed shoes, hat and sunscreen. Due to CDC guidelines, we will practice social distancing and mask is optional when outdoors.

Meet at the Pushwalla Palms parking area on Thousand Palms Canyon Road.
