DUE TO RIVERSIDE COUNTY PUBLIC HEALTH OFFICIALS RECOMMENDATION, WE ARE SUSPENDING ALL FRIENDS SCHEDULED EVENTS THROUGH MARCH 31ST.
The dramatic elevation changes in the Santa Rosa & San Jacinto Mountains give rise to five life zones, home to a diverse array of plants and animals. Take a visual tour of the five life zones within our mountains as one travels the Palms to Pines highway and ascends to Mt. San Jacinto Peak. Find out how weather, soil and elevation affect the plant and animal life within the zones. Lecture is followed by an interpretive walk through the Lower Sonoran life zone. This presentation is an introduction to further discoveries in the life zones with a follow-up hike on March 23. Your tax deductible donations are appreciated and encouraged.
