Join SoCal Adaptive Sports, Desert Recreation District and Friends of the Desert Mountains volunteer docents on a hike for persons with disabilities on the Pacific Crest Trail, northside of Highway 74. The trail begins slow and meandering through chaparral, scrub oaks and pine trees. The spring wildflowers will be blooming as well as the trees. You should find many different birds and small critters along the trail. Soon we will be hiking on a sunny high desert trail to the boulders. Lots of colorful local history in this quiet mountain valley. We will hike about 3 miles out/back and about 250 feet in elevation.
Bring snacks, 2 liters of water per person and your hiking poles. Wear close-toed shoes, hat and sunscreen.
