Join SoCal Adaptive Sports, Desert Recreation District and Friends of the Desert Mountains volunteer docents on a hike for persons with disabilities on the Ernie Maxwell Trail. This urban, dog friendly, easy hiking trail is enjoyed by local residents and visitors. We will be hiking up the trail among the many pines and checking out the wildlife. We should expect to see many wildflowers on the mountainsides. For our desert dwellers take advantage of the slightly cooler mountain community.
After the hike, enjoy the day exploring the village of Idyllwild or having an ice cream cone and lunch at one of the many restaurants. OR bring your own picnic lunch. Wear closed toed shoes, hat, sunscreen and bring 2 liters of water (64 ounces) as usual.
