Help support a USGS bighorn sheep monitoring study necessary to develop a management plan required for down listing the species. Working with Chris Lowry, a biologist with the USGS, we will hike a local trail to learn how to observe and document sheep and people activities. The intent is to document time differentiated trail use frequency, by type of user, and to note what the sheep are doing when folks use the trails. Bring 2 liters of water, closed-toed shoes, hat, binoculars and sunscreen. New volunteers are welcome!
Meet at the Friends office. NOTE: Start time may vary. Contact the organizer when you rsvp to confirm time.
