Friends of the Desert Mountains Trail Ambassadors are supporting a USGS bighorn sheep monitoring study necessary to develop a management plan required for down listing the species.  Working with Dr. Kathleen Longshore and others, we’ll be observing and documenting trail use along trails in bighorn sheep habitat.  The intent is to document time differentiated trail use frequency, by type of user, and to note what the sheep are doing when folks use the trails. Join us for this introduction and initial training. New volunteers are welcome!
