Join SoCal Adaptive Sports, Desert Recreation District and Friends of the Desert Mountains volunteer docents on the Tahquitz Canyon trail for persons with disabilities. We will hike this historic trail with the tribal ranger to the waterfalls and return. Hear the history of Chief Tahquitz bringing the Cahuilla people to our valley about 3,000 years ago, as well as the more colorful recent history of the canyon.
This trail is rocky in places and about 350 feet elevation. You may need to use your hiking poles. There is very little shade, make sure you wear your sun hat, sunscreen, closed toed shoes and bring 2 liters (64 ounces) of water.
