To protect the health of our community and limit the spread of the COVID-19 outbreak, we have cancelled all events for the month of April. This event will be rescheduled when possible.

Come up to the Santa Rosa and San Jacinto Mountains National Monument Visitor Center and meet our resident, adopted desert tortoise, Bowser.  Chat with staff and volunteers and learn more about this “Tortoise Ambassador” and get your questions about desert tortoise answered.  This is a great opportunity to see a desert tortoise - enjoy watching Bowser roam around in his habitat and even eat a healthy breakfast.
