The hike team has been asked by FODM staff to provide a hike and birding walks for special event. Prior to the event, we will need to learn the various trail options.

There are 2 possible trails/canyons to explore and be familiar with. We will begin at the Sheephole Oasis trailhead in Box Canyon. Due to the size of the group, we will need 4 hike leaders and 8 hike sweeps.

If you are interested and available to volunteer for the event, please join the group for this training. This bus tour event is to promote the proposed Chuckwalla National Monument.

The actual event is on Saturday, October 19 at 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM. The training group will be meeting on Thursday, October 17, 7:00 AM in the parking lot of the Dunn Edwards Paint Store, 78078 Country Club Dr, Bermuda Dunes, CA 92203. View Map
