Join SoCal Adaptive Sports, Friends of the Desert Mountains, and Desert Recreation District volunteers on a hike for persons with disabilities to Willis Palms Oasis. This oasis sits on the San Andreas fault and has water flowing in it all year. In 2010, a fire nearly destroyed the oasis. These palms are home to the Western Yellow Bat. How many palms can you count? We will hike about 3 miles with 100 feet elevation.
Bring snacks, 2 liters of water per person and your hiking poles. Wear close-toed shoes, hat and sunscreen. Due to public health regulations, it is suggested that you wear a mask and practice social distancing.
