Join SoCal Adaptive Sports and Friends of the Desert Mountains volunteer docents on a hike for persons with disabilities, their family, and friends at the Indio Hills Badlands Trail. For our intrepid adventurers, we will be hiking over the Coachella Canal, up a few small hills and then drop down into the wash area.
We will explore the wash looking for lizards and checking for other small desert inhabitants. We will discuss the unique geology of the area. AND your furry, 4-legged buddy is welcome to come along.
The trail is easy and 2 miles long. Bring snacks, 2 liters of water per person and your hiking poles. Wear close-toed shoes, a sun hat and sunscreen.
