Webinar: The Hidden Desert

It has been said that there are two deserts. One: a grim, desolate wasteland of unbearable heat, as experienced by strangers speeding along the highway. The second desert, the true desert: a place of rare beauty filled with exquisite blossoms and plants and animals that cling tenaciously to life. You can go your whole life exploring the desert and never see many of the elusive creatures hiding all around us, living in caves and cracks in the rocks and only emerging after night falls and humans have retreated from the wilderness.

Discover the true desert, revealed using remote sensing, with Friends staff Colin Barrows and learn about how we are working to understand and protect rare and endangered species in the desert and what you can do to help.
